2024 community cider to combat child hunger in oregon

Bring your bushels of unwanted backyard apples and pears to Portland Cider Company! Drop them off any Saturday in September, and we’ll press them into our 8th annual Community Cider to benefit Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon.

This year, we're collecting bushels of unwanted fruit every Saturday in September, with drop-off at our Clackamas Pub + Restaraunt.

Help Out Our Planet

Did You Know?

Food loss and waste in the U.S annually produces more greenhouse gas emissions than 42 coal-fired power plants, uses enough water and energy to supply more than 50 million homes, and requires an area of agricultural land equal to California and New York.*

By donating unused apples and pears, you are helping reduce food waste, which in turn will help reduce your carbon footprint!

For every bushel donated, you get a free pint of Community Cider to be redeemed when our 2023 batch is released in October. ** (4 bushels = 1 gowler)

**Payment in trade vouchers redeemable at Portland Cider Co. taprooms. While supplies last.
