OUR STORY

Since 2013, Portland Cider Company has been combining the time-tested fermentation process of traditional ciders with the playful irreverence of Portland, Oregon, to create the best-tasting ciders our city has to offer. Portland is our home, and her bold, creative spirit inspires the innovation, discovery, and ultimately the production of unique and delicious ciders that feed the curiosity (and quell the thirst) of the people who love them.

At the same time, we’re committed to sourcing high-quality ingredients from local growers, and to avoiding artificial flavors, colors, and added sugars in our recipes. Our apples? They’re grown right here in the Pacific Northwest. Our fans? Many of them were grown here too! And while we continue to build our devoted fan base throughout Washington and Northern California, we’ll always celebrate Portland for the inspiration she sparks in us.

Our Cider Making Process

Step 1: Apples

Local farmers pick NW apples to be pressed into 100% Fresh Apple Juice delivered to our Cidery.

Step 2: Fermentation

Apple juice is pumped into our Fermentation Tanks, where we add white wine yeast to get to an epically flawless fermentation.

Step 3: Perfected

After fermentation, the product is a beautiful bone-dry cider, to which we add fruits or more fresh pressed Northwest apple juice to get the perfect sweetness or flavor profile.

Step 4: Packaged to Enjoy!

After filtration, our cider is canned, kegged or bottled for enjoyment in Portland & beyond!
