Portland Cider Co.'s Canning Procedures During COVID-19

To Our Valued Customer,

As a Portland-based, local small business we are extremely rooted in our community and value each and every one of our customers and team members.

You may have noticed that the can underneath the label has a different Portland Cider Co. cider variety or different brand’s can listed than what you believed to have purchased. We can assure you that whatever cider you purchased is what you got. We sincerely apologize for any confusion.

You may be seeing this firsthand for our:

  • Pineapple Rosé in Sangria cans

  • Kinda Dry in Apple cans

  • Razzberry in Hop’rageous cans

  • Kinda Dry in Hop’rageous cans

  • Any Portland Cider Co. offering in Cider Riot cans

  • Any Portland Cider Co. offering in Zoiglhaus cans

Due to the COVID-19 shutdown, we’ve experienced an unfortunate can shortage. As a small business, we do our best to reduce waste, so our solution during this unprecedented time is to use unfilled cans from past cider runs, re-wrapped with a new label or shink sleeve to fill current ciders.  We are also experiencing a label shortage during this time, so you may notice a slight difference in the labels from batch-to-batch.

Our number one priority throughout the COVID-19 pandemic has been and continues to be the health and safety of our team members and business partners. While we work together to prevent the spread of the disease, we are striving to maintain seamless operations and fulfill customer orders. By utilizing our previously unfilled cans, it ensures that our team can adhere to newly-implemented extra safety measures so you can still enjoy your favorite Portland Cider Co. ciders – from year-rounds to seasonals, in stock at our taprooms and retail partners.

Thank you again for your continued support of Portland Cider Co. We appreciate you!

Cheers!
