Hop'Rageous Brazilian Mojito

Who else can’t get over Shakira and J.Lo’s Super Bowl halftime show?! We were inspired by Latin America so much we searched for a unique cocktail to take us to sunshine vibes and samba feels. 

Try our Hop’Rageous Brazilian Mojito  - “HOP TO BRAZIL” a Portland Cider Co. take on Brazil's national cocktail, Caipirinha with a Mojito twist!

The Caipirinha is made from Brazil’s national liquor, Cachaça, which is similar to rum but made with cane sugar instead of molasses.

A traditional Caipirinha is made by muddling lots of fresh lime wedges with sugar, then topped off with Cachaça and ice.

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz. Portland Cider Co. Hop’Rageous

  • 1 oz. Cachaça

  • 10 fresh mint leaves

  • 1 Tbsp. sugar 

  • 1/2 lime, cut into 6 wedges

  • Ice

Instructions:

  • Using a muddler (or the back of a wooden spoon), work the mint leaves and sugar together in the bottom of a glass

  • Squeeze and drop in 2 eighths of lime, muddle again with mint and sugar

  • Fill the glass with ice, and pour the Cachaça and Hop’Rageous in over the top.

  • Stir well

  • Garnish with more lime wedges
