Our 2020 “Pressing Party”

Saying that this year has been unique would be an understatement.

As always, we pride ourselves on taking the safety of our crew and customers very seriously. Because of this, we weren’t able to hold our annual Pressing Party in person or invite our community members out to participate. We were able, however, to capture all of the action for you virtually.

This year, we received a record amount of fruit donations - over 40,000 lbs!

It’s all part of the process! These are a few highlights of this year’s pressing, but stay tuned on our social channels for the full video coming this weekend.

We still have such fond memories of the Pressing Party tradition from years past. At last year’s Pressing Party, we pressed some of the donated apples that we received from our 2019 apple drive with help from our friends Correll Cider Presses. Attendees got to sample the fresh pressed apple juice as they helped with the pressing, which was a favorite for many families!  We also enjoyed the company from the petting zoo animals, sipped on cider slushies, and enjoyed ice cream and cider floats.

We look forward to next year’s in-person Pressing Party. For the time being, we are grateful for the results of our 2020 Fruit Forward Drive and the community participation surrounding this event.

You can sample the fruits of our labor with the 2020 PDX Community Cider – in taprooms now, and in stores soon!
