We’d like to thank the Academy…

9 Years! What a ride it’s been. And we did it all by ourselves, with no help from anyone.

Just kidding! You know that’s not remotely possible. But what you may not know is exactly who helped us get to where we are today. We have benefitted from the support and partnerships of countless companies, growers, organizations and people, and we are grateful to every single one. This may turn into a bit of an Oscars acceptance speech, and you might hear the music playing towards the end, but know that we offer every thanks sincerely, from the bottom of our hearts. (We promise, no slapping.)

We’ve always enjoyed teaming up with other Oregon businesses to source our ingredients. You’ve heard us talk about Steven Smith Tea, Blue Star Donuts, Singing Dog Vanilla and Jacobsen Salt Co., to name a few. We have so much respect for each of these brands, and their premium ingredients have helped us craft some one-of-a-kind winners! And we’re not done…we have new partnerships on the horizon all the time! (Totally random, unrelated question: Any HAB Sauce fans out there?) We’ve also done some fun micro-batch taproom releases with local friends—we’re looking at you, Marigold Coffee and Breakside Brewery!

One of our favorite annual partnerships is a win-win-win for Portland Cider, Partners for a Hunger-free Oregon, and cider drinkers in the Northwest: the Fruit Forward Drive and PDX Community Cider! You bring us the fruit, we make the cider, we donate a portion of the sales to help end childhood hunger! This is a team-up that absolutely couldn’t happen without the generosity of our entire community.

We’re extremely grateful to the retailers, pubs and restaurants all over the region who choose to put our ciders on their shelves and taps. This is a highly competitive market for beer and cider, and we are honored every time you opt to share Portland Cider with your customers.

A little more behind-the-scenes, but no less valued, are our distributors: Maletis Beverage, Bigfoot Beverages, Summit Beverages, Clatsop Distributing and Hodgen Distributing in Oregon; Maletis Beverage, NW Beverage, Odom Corporation and Dickerson Distributing in Washington & Northern Idaho; Bay Area Distributors, Saccani Distributing, Morris Distributing and Premium Beverages in California, and our brand-new pals at Eagle Rock Distributing in Colorado! Every one of them is essential in getting our cider where it needs to be.

We’re always happy to be a part of Cider Summit Portland, and we appreciate that so many people have tried our ciders for the first time there. We’re also proud members of the Oregon Brewshed Alliance, working to protect the wild lands where our water flows from, and the Hawthorne Business Association, which has always been a great partner to us over at the Portland Cider House.

Wait—before you play us off the stage, we have a couple more important shout-outs. There would be no cider without the hard-working apple farmers in Washington’s Yakima Valley who cultivate and harvest the beautiful fruit that serves as the basis for every one of our ciders. And there would, without question, be no Portland Cider Co. without our community of family, friends, cider-drinkers and Portland itself. You all inspire us every day.

Thank you!
