A while back, our award-winning Sorta Sweet Cider went away. We knew it wouldn’t be forever, though, and we recently relaunched it with a new name: Original Gold, a nod to its growing collection of gold medals, and its status as one of Portland Cider’s very first ciders. There’s more to the story, though…
Chef Vinnie Manna has been welcomed warmly into the Portland Cider family, and appreciates the trust and friendship that owners Jeff and Lynda Parrish have offered up. “Cooking is my passion. It’s what I do, along with taking care of my three beautiful daughters. Food and family are my whole life—and now the family includes Portland Cider.”
Read MoreAs part of their community commitment to pay it (fruit) forward, Portland Cider Company is partnering with the Oregon Zoo Foundation to help feed their hungry residents. Throughout May and June, a portion of the proceeds from every six-pack of Portland Cider sold in Oregon and Southwest Washington will be donated to the foundation and used to produce the 292,000 pounds of food that over 1,500 animals at the Oregon Zoo devour annually.
